Huawei Y6s smartphone has been officially unveiled after its render online leaked back in November 2019. The handset ships with a MediaTek chipset instead of the in-house Kirin or a Snapdragon SoC and it comes with Google Play Services. Design-wise, the Huawei Y6s has a waterdrop notch to accommodate the front-facing camera, and it offers an 87 percent screen-to-body ratio. The handset rocks a Google Pixel-like dual-tone design at the back with a single camera and a fingerprint sensor for security. The Huawei Y6s is equipped with “Super Linear Speaker” and “Smart PA” for an immersive audio experience, and it will be available in Orchid Blue and Starry Black colours.

Huawei Y6s flaunts a 6.09-inch HD+ display with 1,560 x 720-pixels resolution and a screen-to-body ratio of 87 percent. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 3GB RAM and up to 64GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.1 custom skin on top.

In terms of optics, the Huawei Y6s has a single 13MP sensor (f/1.8) with autofocus and LED flash. On the front, it has an 8MP sensor for selfies and video chats. It has rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm jack and micro-USB port. The Huawei Y6s packs a 3,020mAh battery with no fast-charging support. It weighs 150 grams with battery and measures 156.28 x 73.5 x 8.0mm.
