The new file system increases the random read speed on an average by 20 percent and up to 200 percent while also saving more than 2GB of system storage. GPU Turbo 3.0 on Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is claimed to produce smooth and seamless gaming experience with improved battery performance while gaming. It cuts down on SoC power consumption by 10 percent and optimises the performance. The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 EMUI 9.1 update also brings Huawei Vlog features that include new editing tools and one-click share option.

The EROFS file system ensures a higher response rate in reading files such as documents, music or videos. It will improve app-startup speed. The Huawei Vlog feature automatically edits the videos with dramatic filters and includes options to apply special speed effects and unique background music.
