IFA 2019: Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab 10.1, Smart Tab M8, and Smart Display 7 announced

Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab 10.1, Smart Tab M8, and Smart Display 7 announced at the IFA 2019 show. The latest tablets come with Google Assistant’s new Ambient Mode that displays notifications, reminders, start a playlist and control smart home devices on the lock screen. They can even put a slideshow of photos from the Google Photos account. While the Yoga Smart Tab comes with a 10.1-inch display, the Smart Tab M8 rocks an 8-inch HD display. The Smart Display 7 comes with Google Assistant and is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek 8167S processor.Pricing and availability:

  • The Lenovo Smart Display 7 is priced at EUR 129 (around Rs 10,300) and will be available starting from October.
  • The Lenovo Smart Tab M8 is priced at EUR 149 (around Rs 11,800) and will go on sale in October
  • The Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab costs EUR 299 (around Rs 23,700) and will be later this month through Lenovo Website and select retailers.

Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab comes with a 10.1-inch full-HD display with 1,920 x 1,200 pixels resolution and is powered by the Snapdragon 439 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The tablet runs on Android 9.0 Pie and packs 7,000mAh battery. There is an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies. The inbuilt storage can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. Connectivity features include 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, and GPS. The Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab measures 242 x 166 x 8.5mm and weighs 580 grams. The tablet also comes with dual JBL Hi-Fi speakers reinforced by smart power amplifiers that are optimised with Dolby Atmos. It has an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.

The Lenovo Smart Tab M8 flaunts an 8-inch HD IPS display with 1,280 x 800 pixels and is powered by a 2GHz quad-core MediaTek A22 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM. It comes in two storage variants: 16GB and 32GB that is further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. In terms of optics, there is a 5MP primary rear camera and a 2MP front camera for selfies. When connected to the smart Charging Station, the tablet transforms it into an always-on smart home hub. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi Bluetooth v4.2 LE, 4G LTE, and 3.5mm audio jack. A 5,000mAh battery fuels the tablet. It will be available in Onyx Black and Platinum Grey colour options.

Lastly, the Lenovo Smart Display 7 as the name suggests features a 7-inch SD touchscreen display with 1,024 x 6,00 pixels resolution coupled with two 1.5-inch 5W speakers. A 1.5GHz MediaTek 8167S processor powers the device. It rocks a 2MP wide-angle front camera for video chats and a dual microphone array. The Lenovo Smart Display packs Wi-Fi 802.11 and Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity. The Lenovo Smart Display 7 also features a TrueBlock Privacy Shutter and a physical mute button.
