Infinix Hot 8 could be the upcoming smartphone from the sub-brand of Hong Kong-based Transsion Holdings in India. Ahead of its release, a couple of retail box images of the Infinix Hot 8 have surfaced online. The images reveal the front profile of the handset, which seems to have a waterdrop-notch display — just like its predecessor – Infinix Hot 7. The phone will also offer 4G LTE connectivity and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration. Furthermore, 91mobiles has learned from industry sources that Infinix Hot 8 launch in India will happen later this month, and its price could be under Rs 10,000.
The rest of the details of the phone are not known at the moment, but we expect the specifications to be better than the ones offered by Infinix Hot 7. The latter was launched last month in the country at Rs 7,999 for 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable native storage. The phone comes in Midnight Black, Aqua Blue, and Mocha Brown shades and is available for sale in the country via Flipkart.
Infinix Hot 7 specifications
To recall, the Infinix Hot 7 smartphone features a 6.19-inch HD+ display with a notch atop that houses dual selfie shooters. The setup comprises of 13MP f/2.0 primary camera, aided by a 2MP secondary shooter. A similar setup is at the back as well, except for the primary 13MP snapper that has an aperture lens of f/1.8. At the handset’s core lies an octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 processor paired with handset comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage.
There is a fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone and the entire setup is driven by a 4,000mAh battery. The handset boots Android 9 Pie-based XOS 5.0 out of the box. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS with GLONASS.
