What’s new on the Infinix Note 40X?
The Infinix Note 40X is an offshoot of the Infinix Note 40. It retains the same 6.78-inch display but the panel used on the Note 40 is LTPS AMOLED and this should offer better visuals and punchy colours. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor on the vanilla Note 40 compared to a side-mounted sensor on the Note 40X.
The new Note 40X ships with the Dimensity 6300 SoC compared to MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC on the vanilla Note 40. While the battery capacity is the same at 5,000mAh, the fast charging speed is downgraded to 18W on the Note 40X from 33W. The 108MP primary camera is retained on the back but the results should vary owing to a different chipset. The front camera sensor is 8MP on the Note 40X compared to the 32MP shooter on the Vanilla Note 40.
All these improvements come at a cost though as the vanilla Infinix Note 40 5G costs Rs 19,999 for the single 8GB/256GB storage variant in India.
