Its rear panel has the brand logo at the bottom left corner and a square island, featuring triple cameras and an LED flash, at the top left corner. At the front, there is a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera at the top centre.

Infinix Note 40X vs OPPO A3x: display
The Infinix Note 40X has a superior and larger display than the OPPO A3x. Both phones come with an LCD panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the Infinix Note 40X supports a Full-HD+ resolution, while the OPPO A3x only offers an HD+ resolution. The higher resolution of the Note 40X will deliver a better and clearer viewing experience than the OPPO A3x.
Infinix Note 40X vs OPPO A3x: performance
Both phones draw power from the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC paired with Mali-G57 GPU at their helm. It’s a fairly capable chipset that powers most smartphones available in the segment. So, you can expect a similar performance from the devices.
However, the Infinix Note 40X ships with 8GB and 12GB RAM options, while the OPPO A3x only comes with 4GB RAM. Even with moderate usage, the 4GB RAM will likely feel insufficient while multi-tasking or switching apps, and slower app loading times.
Besides this, you can increase the storage on both devices. The Infinix Note 40X offers 256GB of internal storage, while the OPPO A3x limits the internal storage to up to 128GB. Wait for our detailed reviews of these phones to learn more about their performance.
Infinix Note 40X vs OPPO A3x: cameras
The Infinix Note 40X has a better camera setup for both rear and front than the OPPO A3x. You only get an 8MP rear camera with the OPPO A3x, while the Infinix Note 40X offers a better 108MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro shooter for close-up shots.
At the front, the Infinix Note 40X has an 8MP snapper compared to OPPO A3x’s 5MP, which should deliver more detailed and clearer selfies and video chats. You also get a bunch of AI camera and photo editing features with the Infinix Note 40X.
Infinix Note 40X vs OPPO A3x: battery and charging
In the battery and charging department, the OPPO A3x is a clear winner among the two. You get a bigger 5,100mAh battery capacity with a faster 45W SuperVOOC charging support with the OPPO A3x. In comparison, the Infinix Note 40X has a slightly smaller 5,000mAh cell under the hood that supports 18W charging.
While the 100mAh battery difference isn’t much, the 45W charging will quickly refuel the OPPO A3x, while you’ll have to patiently wait for the Note 40X to charge with a much slower charging speed.
Infinix Note 40X vs OPPO A3x: software
Both Infinix Note 40X and OPPO A3x ship with the latest Android 14 version of Android out of the box. With the OPPO A3x, you get ColorOS, while the Infinix Note 40X runs on XOS.
Neither Infinix nor OPPO has officially revealed how many Android released and security patches the Note 40X and A3x will receive, but you can expect at least two years of OS and security updates.
Verdict
Overall, both smartphones provide a decent value for the money, with respectable specifications in each aspect. The choice between the two is a matter of personal preference, as each phone has its own set of advantages and disadvantages.
If you want a better camera setup, a clearer display, and more RAM, the Infinix Note 40X is for you. However, if you prioritise battery life and charging speed, the OPPO A3x will suit you better.
