“Apple might add additional sensors to the Face ID, presumably to make it even faster and secure”
Apple is known to be working on successors to the last year’s iPhone XS, XS Max, and the iPhone XR. We’ve already come across iPhone XI Max renders, showcasing the triple rear camera setup and an almost identical design. The Cupertino giant reportedly introduce a new dedicated night mode camera feature for improved low-light photography, and they are also said to come with 128GB base storage option this time around. Now, cases of the iPhone XS Max successor from popular accessory maker Olixar surfaced online, and these can be purchased already through UK retailer MobileFun’s online store.
The new cases by Oliver, which is a trustworthy source when it comes to case designs, confirm the 2019 iPhones would indeed pack triple rear cameras consisting of a standard sensor, a telephoto lens and an ultra-wide angle shooter. There could also be a quad-LED flash and secondary microphone for noise cancellation in the square design. Moreover, the accessory maker also has a dedicated camera protector for all three upcoming iPhones to prevent scratches and scruff on the protruding camera module.
It should also be noted that despite Apple shifting to roman numerals with the iPhone X and iPhone XS following the suit, Olixar is calling the handsert iPhone 11 Max, not iPhone XI Max as rumoured earlier. So the naming part remains inconclusive at the moment.
Meanwhile, Olixar is also selling screen protectors for the upcoming iPhone 11, and their design suggests that Apple might add additional sensors to the Face ID, presumably to make it even faster and secure. With iOS 13, Apple claimed that Face ID unlock is 30 percent faster than before. This also reiterates rumours that said 2019 iPhones would have an identical design from the front.
On the other hand, the iPhone XR (2019) will also witness an upgrade from a single rear camera to dual. With Apple planning big things for 2020 iPhones including full-screen Face ID, 5G support, and more, this year’s iPhones seem like a marginal upgrade.
