“iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max are expected to come with a rear-facing 3D sensing and mmWave 5G support as well”
iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max may come with 6GB of RAM, which would be the most RAM for an iPhone yet. Apple’s iPhones are known for offering minimal RAM despite Android smartphones offering up to 12GB of RAM these days. But Apple may bump up the RAM on its next set of iPhones. According to a report from Barclays analyst Blayne Curtis and his associates, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max flagships are expected to pack 6GB of RAM. In comparison, the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max just have 4GB RAM.
The standard iPhone 12 model will retain the 4GB RAM as its predecessor, the iPhone 11. The top-end iPhone 12 Pro models are expected to come with a rear-facing 3D sensing and mmWave 5G support. It’s unclear if the upcoming iPhones would work with sub-6GHz 5G.
2020 iPhone 12 design is rumoured to look similar to the iPhone 4 or iPhone 5. This means they might sport a flat frame and boxier design as opposed to the curved frames we are used to seeing on iPhone now. iPhone 12 models could come with quad cameras at the back in a similar squarish module as seen on the iPhone 11 phones. The notch is also said to be slightly slimmer than the current design. The Apple iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max are expected to sport a 5.42-inch, 6.06-inch and 6.67-inch screens, respectively.
The same report claims the iPhone SE 2 will enter production in February and is expected to go official in March of 2020. Interestingly, iPhone SE 2 design is said to look strikingly similar to the iPhone 8 and would ship with a 4.7-inch display and a Touch ID in place of FaceID for security. The iPhone SE 2 will be powered by the A13 chip coupled with 3GB of RAM. iPhone SE 2 price and other specifications are not known just yet.
