iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro specifications
iPhone 12 Pro sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display while the iPhone 12 Pro Max gets a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display, which is the biggest screen yet on an iPhone. Unfortunately, the Pro models do not get a 120Hz refresh rate as was rumoured earlier. The Pro models are equipped with ‘Ceramic Shield’ technology, which Apple says is tougher than any other smartphone display. The iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max are both powered by the 5nm A14 Bionic chipset and come with 5G support to offer fast download and upload speeds, low latency, and more. The iPhone 12 series runs on iOS 14 out of the box.
The latest iPhones come with a redesigned body that includes a flat frame much like the iPad Pro 2020 and the older iPhone 4. The wide notch is still present for FaceID sensors and the front-facing camera. Both the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are equipped with three camera sensors in a square-shaped module at the back. All three cameras use 12MP sensors. The iPhone 12 Pro comes with a 12MP wide camera that has an f/1.6 aperture, 7-element lens, 26mm focal length; 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens offers a 120-degree FoV; 12MP telephoto lens offers 4x optical zoom. The iPhone 12 Pro Max gets an all-new sensor that is 47 percent larger than before and offers 87 percent improved low-light performance. Night Mode has been improved and now supports TrueDepth and Ultra Wide cameras. The iPhone Pro models come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
