The news of the iPhone 14 Plus came into the spotlight when a Twitter user shared an alleged image of a clear case’s box that says “iPhone 14 Plus Clear Case MagSafe.” Apart from the leak, 9to5Mac claims that Apple will indeed name the 6.7-inch non-Pro iPhone 14 model the iPhone 14 Plus. Further, the publication also believes that given the success of the iPhone 6 Plus, the iPhone 14 Plus could become one of the ‘most popular iPhone models’ in the coming years. If the news pans out to be true, this could be the iPhone 14 series in increasing order of price:
- iPhone 14
- iPhone 14 Plus
- iPhone 14 Pro
- iPhone 14 Pro Max
Camera, microphone indicator in iPhone 14 Pro display cutout, redesign camera app
Apart from giving us hopes of an iPhone 14 Plus model this year, the publication also reveals that Apple will redesign the camera app for the iPhone 14 series to utilise the extra screen real-estate, which would be the result of the rumoured goodbye notch. Apple will place the flash and Live Photo buttons in the status bar, and more options will be added below the display cutout.
The iPhone 14 Pro’s display cutout will also house a camera and microphone indicator alongside the front-facing shooter and speaker. Lastly, Apple plans to make the iPhone experience similar to its MacBook, which also features an always-visible LED when the camera is on.
