The iPhone 15 series is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2023, and it will include iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which will likely be renamed iPhone 15 Ultra. Here’s the latest on the iPhone 15 rumours.

iPhone 15 Dynamic Island

A Weibo blogger, who goes by the username Tech Meow, revealed the live image of the iPhone 15 series’ glass panels. The first glass panel in the image belongs to the iPhone 15, the second to the Pro model, and the last to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which reveals that all the models in the series will feature Dynamic Island. Earlier, another tipster named ShrimpApplePro had shared a similar video on Twitter.

According to the blogger, cited in the MyFixGuide report, the width of the last two borders has been further reduced to 1.5 mm, and the width of all four sides is the same. The blogger also noted that the standard models, which include the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, would continue to be restricted to a 60Hz refresh rate and be lacking the Always-On Display (AOD) feature.

The new CAD design renders of the iPhone 15 Pro models were made public by another blogger, with the user name HongyangTechnology, on TikTok China. Through this, several new features of the iPhone 15 lineup were confirmed.

The Pro models will have a titanium frame rather than a stainless steel one, which can significantly improve the device’s durability and lightness.

Through a video, the blogger revealed that the Pro models would no longer have physical volume buttons or a side mute switch. Instead, it would have thin buttons to adjust the volume. Simultaneously, the mute switch is expected to become a button that must be pressed for operation. It’s worth noting that Apple has used a physical music switch on the iPhone since 2007.

According to the report, the volume button’s new solid-state design will disable button pressing functionality. Two built-in Taptic Engine motors, on the other hand, will stimulate the pressing sensation, as seen in the 3D Touch Home Button. Meanwhile, the physical volume and lock buttons would remain in the standard models.
