The new report contradicts an earlier report from DigiTimes that suggested Apple would be reducing the orders for the iPhone SE 3. Instead, ITHome reports that production quantity for the upcoming iPhone SE has not decreased. It further claims that multiple component vendors are preparing for the iPhone SE 3 shipments.
iPhone SE 3 specifications (expected)
The iPhone SE 3 would look much like its predecessor. It is reported to feature a 4.7-inch Retina HD LCD display, and the fingerprint sensor would be embedded inside the Home Button, meaning there might be no Face ID in the upcoming iPhone SE. Further, it is expected to come with an improved 12MP rear camera. The iPhone SE 3 would be powered by the A15 Bionic paired with an external X60M 5G baseband chip, bringing 5G support onboard. The chipset would be paired with 3GB of RAM.
The report also suggests that Apple might launch a bigger iPhone SE next year dubbed iPhone SE Plus. We don’t know much about the alleged big-screen iPhone SE, but ITHome suggests that it would have 4GB of RAM.
Analysts at JP Morgan say that the upcoming iPhone SE 3 can lure nearly 1.4 billion mid-range Android smartphone users and around 300 million old iPhone users. The firm estimates around 30 million iPhone SE 3 units to be sold in 2022, with annual iPhone shipments expected to reach 250 million.
