Apple is working on a handful of products, including the likes of new MacBook models, iPhone 14 lineup, an AR headset, and others. There are rumours for quite some time the Cupertino giant is prepping to launch a third-gen iPhone SE model, probably around March/April this year. Now, a couple of alleged iPhone SE 3 CAD-based renders have surfaced online, courtesy of a leaker named Xleaks7. The renders show the upcoming iPhone SE 3 will bear a design that is similar to that of iPhone XR, with rounded corners, slim bezels, and a wide notch to house the Face ID and selfie camera sensor.

The iPhone SE 3 display will reportedly measure 5.7 inches

The renders shared by Xleaks7, in association with TenTechReview, show the iPhone SE 3 will have iPhone XR-like rounded edges. We can also see the traditional, wider notch on the front for the Face ID and other sensors, unlike the smaller notch that we saw on the iPhone 13 series. If the design turns out to be accurate, the third-gen model will have the thinnest bezels we have seen on the SE series so far.

The iPhone SE 3 back panel will house a single rear camera, LED flash, and Apple logo, according to the leaked renders. It seems to have a glass back, which should enable wireless charging. The power button and SIM tray can be seen on the right spine. While the volume rocker and alert slider are on the left edge. The Lightning port will be at the bottom. The render shows the smartphone in White colour, but there should be other options at launch.

Interestingly, the report says the smartphone will measure 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3mm (8.2mm thickness with camera bump included) and that display will be 131.3 x 60.2mm. According to the report, this would mean a 5.69-inch display. In the past, Apple has made displays measuring 4.7-inch, 5.4-inch, 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch, so if the Xleaks7 information is indeed correct, then the 5.7-inch display of iPhone SE 3 will be a first for Apple.

Since the leak comes from Xleaks7, which doesn’t have much of a track record in smartphone leaks, we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt. The design shown in the render directly contradicts earlier reports of the iPhone SE 3 rocking a similar design as the iPhone SE 2 with thick bezels above and below the screen and a compact 4.7-inch display.

Furthermore, the images also contradict what Mark Gurman, a noted Apple analyst and a Bloomberg correspondent, had said earlier. Gurman too reiterated the iPhone SE 3 design will be akin to iPhone SE 2’s. The smartphone is said to arrive with either the A14 Bionic or the newer A15 Bionic chipset and enable 5G network connectivity. We should learn more details about the iPhone SE 3 soon. Stick around.
