iQOO 13 is rumoured to debut in China before the end of this year and will arrive as the successor to the iQOO 12. It will be one of the first models to arrive with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which is yet to be announced. Several leaks in recent times have hinted a lot about the flagship already. Now, tipster DigitalChatStation has leaked newer details about the iQOO 13 display. Check out the details.
iQOO 13 may feature the best BOE display
- Going into details, China-based BOE recently unveiled its next flagship display at the Global Innovation Partner Conference 2024.
- In context to that, the tipster says that most of the first batch of phones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will feature the BOE X2 display.
- The iQOO 13 will reportedly have a custom-made flat display from BOE. This will have a 2K resolution and is constructed using advanced light-emitting materials.
- DCS says that testers believe that this is the next-generation technology and is apparently the best BOE display of the year.
To add more context to this, OnePlus 13 is rumoured to feature the BOE X2 micro-quad-curved display. DCS says that the X is a customised line of display that is specially designed for the Ouga group, which includes OPPO, OnePlus and Realme. Hence iQOO 13 will not use the BOE X branding for its display.
iQOO 13: what we know so far
iQOO 13 will come as a successor to the iQOO 12. The flagship is tipped to bring back the light strip design on the back panel to add to the gaming aesthetics. This was originally seen on the first-generation models from iQOO, where they had a light patch within the glass back panel. The light will pass through this for any alerts, notifications, calls and other occasions.
The flagship from iQOO could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, compared to the 8 Gen 3 on the predecessor. Earlier leaks claimed the iQOO 13 will come with 50MP triple cameras, including a 3x zoom sensor. The phone might feature an ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor for security. The iQOO 13 could feature a 6000mAh battery with 100W fast charging. In comparison, the predecessor came with a 5000mAh cell and 120W fast charging.
