“IQOO will be the first brand to launch a Snapdragon 865-powered 5G smartphone to India”
Vivo’s iQOO brand is all set to debut in India sometime this month as a standalone entity. 91mobiles had previously reported on IQOO’s plans to launch in India. We also saw some official-looking iQOO pages go live on Twitter, Facebook as well, but it turns out those pages are fake. This was clarified by Gagan Arora, Director-iQOO, in a tweet. While the recent social media accounts may be fake, Arora did confirm in the same tweet that iQOO will indeed be launching in India, bringing the country’s first Snapdragon 865 and 5G phone. While Arora did not reveal the name of the phone just yet, speculations are rife that it could be the rumoured iQOO 3 smartphone since Vivo currently does not have a Snapdragon 865-powered 5G phone in its portfolio.

I would like to inform you that Official IQOO India handles on Twitter, FB, Insta & YouTube are not live yet.
Beaware of fakes! #monsteriscoming
