iQOO 7 launch is scheduled for January 11th at 7:30 pm local time (5:00 pm IST) in China, as confirmed by the company on Weibo. While the teaser image doesn’t reveal much about the phone, the recent promotional image showed that the flagship will come with a triple camera setup in a rectangular module, similar to what we have seen on Vivo X60. There will be a special iQOO 7 BMW Edition that will have Black, Blue, and Red colour stripes at the back. The special edition will launch alongside the vanilla model on the same stage; a separate Weibo post says the iQOO 7 BMW Edition will come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chipset, UFS 3.1 storage, and LPDDR5 RAM. Separately, an AnTuTu listing revealed some of the key iQOO 7 specifications.

As for the AnTuTu listing, The iQOO 7 will feature a 120Hz display, 12GB RAM, and 256GB storage. The Snapdragon 888 chipset with Adreno 660 GPU, as well as the Android 11 operating system, also find a mention in the screenshot. The smartphone scored an impressive 752935 in the benchmark, with 200616 CPU score and 340539 graphics score. In the memory test, it got 114445, whole the UX test saw a score of 97335.
Previously, noted leaker DigitalChatStation tipped some key iQOO 7 specifications. According to the leaked specifications, iQOO 7 5G will sport an FHD+ display, 4,000mAh battery, 5G support, and 120W fast-charging speed, which should be the key highlight of the phone. iQOO 7 is the official phone for the KPL (King Pro League), an eSports event in China that will be held in the autumn and spring seasons. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much all we know so far about the smartphone at the moment, but since the iQOO 7 launch is inching close, it shouldn’t be long before more information surfaces.
Separately, DigitalChatStation on Weibo recently claimed iQOO is planning to launch 3-4 new phones powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC before the Spring Festival in China, which lasts until February 12th, 2021. Since the company hasn’t announced it officially at the moment, we suggest you take it with a pinch of salt.
