iQOO 9 Pro will get a 2K display
The iQOO 9 Pro will feature a 6.78 FHD+ display, which according to Digital Chat Station will have curved edges. The display is also confirmed to be an AMOLED panel with Quad HD+ resolution. The vanilla iQOO 9, on the contrary, might sport a flat AMOLED display with the same display size, as is tipped on the iQOO 9 Pro. The iQOO 9 series will also come with a Samsung E5 OLED display panel that supports QHD+ resolution up to 120Hz refresh rate. The tipster also added that the smartphone series will use high-quality two-dimensional screen resolution for enhanced image viewing.

iQOO 9 series specifications (expected)
Previous leaks have confirmed that the iQOO 9 series will get the same 4,700mAh battery, with support for 120W fast charging. The iQOO 9 Pro is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, while the vanilla iQOO 9 might get Snapdragon 888 chipset. iQOO 9 Pro is also expected to feature a micro gimbal mode for smoother and shake-free videos, just like the Vivo X70 series. The iQOO 9 Pro is also expected to retain the in-display fingerprint scanner, though rumours suggest that it could be an ultrasonic one, just like the iQOO 8 Pro.
With every other smartphone manufacturer joining in the race to launch their first smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, we may see an official launch date soon, with the rumour mill strongly pointing towards a January 2022 release date for the iQOO 9 series. We will keep you updated with all the latest development around both devices, so stay tuned for that.
