Vivo’s upcoming smartphone iQOO Neo 6 will be the first smartphone in the Neo series in India. The handset is expected to be a mid-range gaming-focused smartphone, with performance and fast charging as its key selling points. Key iQOO Neo 6 specifications have already been confirmed, while the design of the phone will be the same as the Chinese variant. The handset will be online exclusive in India and compete against the likes of Realme GT 2 and Samsung Galaxy A53. Here’s everything we know about the iQOO Neo 6.
iQOO Neo 6 India launch date
iQOO has confirmed the India launch of the iQOO Neo 6 to be May 31st. The Neo 6 line consists of the iQOO Neo 6 and the iQOO Neo 6 SE; however, the Indian market will only get the regular iQOO Neo 6. The handset will be different from its Chinese counterpart and share most of its traits with the slightly affordable iQOO Neo 6 SE from China.
iQOO Neo 6 specifications
The Indian iQOO Neo 6 will be a rebadged version of Neo 6 SE. This means that the smartphone will rock Snapdragon 870 SoC instead of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The handset is also confirmed to have 80W fast charging solution, which is capable of charging a 4,000mAh battery from 0-100 percent in 19 minutes. The iQOO Neo 6 will, however, house a 4,700mAh battery.
Additionally, the phone could feature a 6.62-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED display with HDR 10+ support, 120Hz high refresh rate and 1300nits of peak brightness. It’s is likely to employ up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a liquid cooling system to keep the phone’s thermals in check. In the camera department, the iQOO Neo 6 will sport a triple camera setup at the back, which may consist of a 64MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro lens. Upfront, there could be a 16MP shooter housed inside a hole-punch cutout.
Other features of the iQOO Neo 6 may include an X-axis linear vibration motor and an in-display fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone would run on FunTouch OS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box.
iQOO Neo 6 price in India (expected), availability
The iQOO Neo 6 price in India is expected to be between Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000. To recall, the handset is priced in China at CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs. 33,500) for the base 8GB + 128GB storage variant. The iQOO Neo 6 will be available for sale on Amazon India and other leading retailers.
