The iQOO Pad Pro is set to launch in China on October 28th. The tablet is being teased for its flagship-level performance, compact form factor, and dedicated cooling hardware designed to manage heat during gaming. It features an active cooling fan and a vapour chamber to improve heat dissipation. Known for its performance-focused smartphones, iQOO appears to be following the same approach with its upcoming tablet.
iQOO Pad Pro: what to expect
The iQOO Pad Pro features a large active cooling fan with a quad-layer cooling system for sustained high workloads. The cooling fan comes with three levels of speed adjustment, so it will work according to what you’re using the tablet for. It also has a total heat dissipation area of 23,253 mm² and a large 30 × 30 × 3.5 mm active cooling area. With this combination, the iQOO Pad Pro is designed to stay cool for long gaming sessions. We’ll still have to test it out to see how good the tablet is at heat dissipation.
Powering the iQOO Pad Pro is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with the in-house Q3 gaming chip. It also features a compact 8.8-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, which should offer a comfortable form factor for playing games on a tablet. iQOO says that the display features FPS-specific dark area enhancement filters, making it easier to spot enemies lurking in the shadows.
It also features ultra-sensitive touch controls and a “super-sensitive gyroscope”, which is said to give you an edge in gunfights. The tablet is equipped with super-linear dual speakers claimed to deliver ultra-sensitive sound range by providing crystal-clear location of footsteps. It packs a 9,020mAh battery, which should comfortably last an entire day.
The iQOO Pad Pro will likely compete with the OPPO Pad Mini, which also offers a compact form factor and similar hardware.
The iQOO Pad Pro has been designed for serious gaming. Its compact display, cooling features, and powerful chipset make it a good option for those who want a tablet dedicated to gaming. If this is your thing, then you can definitely go for the iQOO Pad Pro, which will be available for purchase in China on October 28th. Those who want a powerful and compact tablet can also consider the iQOO Pad Pro.
