The iQOO Z10 (review) was recently launched as the “Smartphone with the biggest battery in India”. The handset features a 7,300mAh battery, but that’s not all; it also features capable cameras, at least for the price. The iQOO Z10 touts a dual-rear camera setup with 50MP primary and 2MP secondary sensors. Up front, it sports a 32MP snapper for selfies and video calling.
Does this camera system make the iQOO Z10 better for photography than the similarly priced Realme P3 Pro (review)? To figure that out, we pitted the two smartphones against one another by capturing shots in different scenarios, and the results are as follows:
Verdict
The iQOO Z10 comes on top in scenarios like portrait, selfie, and night time shots, while the Realme P3 Pro performs better in daylight and low light.
SCENARIO | WINNER |
Daylight | Realme P3 Pro |
Portrait | iQOO Z10 |
Selfie | iQOO Z10 |
Low light | Realme P3 Pro |
Low-light (night mode) | iQOO Z10 |

Daylight
The iQOO Z10 and Realme P3 Pro boast a 50MP primary rear camera. However, the P3 Pro has a larger sensor size at 1/1.56-inches as opposed to a 1/1.95-inch sensor on the iQOO offering. The aperture values are f/1.8 on both and come with OIS support.

Kicking off the comparison with a daylight shot, the Realme P3 Pro delivers an ideal image by packing the perfect contrast levels, details, dynamic range and colour tones. Conversely, the iQOO Z10’s shot goes overboard with the cool tones and misses out on the contrast, resulting in a hazy and less-detailed image.
Winner: Realme P3 Pro
Portrait
Since both phones lack a dedicated telephoto lens, both phone utilise their main camera to capture 1x and 2x portrait shots. For the portrait image comparison, we clicked the image with 2x zoom in the Portrait mode. Here’s how the phones fared:

In these shots, the Realme P3 Pro delivers an attractive DSLR-like bokeh, but struggles with facial exposure, often blowing out highlights. In contrast, the iQOO Z10 offers a more subtle depth effect but handles facial exposure far better. Its image is well-balanced, with accurate lighting and more natural-looking skin tones.
Winner: iQOO Z10
Selfie
The iQOO Z10 features a 32MP selfie shooter, while the Realme P3 Pro is equipped with a 20MP front camera. The selfie comparison is as follows:

The high dynamic range of the iQOO Z10’s selfie shot is better. It has perfectly rendered the blue skies in the background and has also not overblown the colours of the trees. Coming to the face, there’s a balanced exposure, making the facial details more evident than the Realme P3 Pro.
Winner: iQOO Z10
Low-light
We tested both phones in low-light conditions to see how their main camera performs under the night sky.

In this night shot comparison, the picture from the Realme P3 Pro has more details on the building’s tiles and trees. The handset slightly overexposes the light sources, though. Just like in daylight, the iQOO Z10 continues to apply cool tones while the P3 Pro leans towards warm tones.
Winner: Realme P3 Pro
Low-light (with night mode)
Now let’s capture the same night scene with both phones, but this time with Night mode enabled.

Enabling night mode on the Realme P3 Pro slightly reduces overexposure around light sources, but it also raises the overall exposure, diminishing the essence of a true night shot. In contrast, the iQOO Z10’s night mode enhances detail while effectively managing highlights, resulting in a more balanced and authentic low-light image.
Winner: iQOO Z10
Final verdict
The iQOO Z10 and Realme P3 Pro clinch victories in various scenarios, making this a close battle. However, since the iQOO Z10 wins in three out of the five tests, it takes the lead in this comparison. The iQOO Z10 managed to deliver better selfie, portrait, and night mode results, while the Realme P3 Pro excels in daylight and low-light shots. If you’re someone who captures more photos of buildings and landscapes, the Realme P3 Pro will be a better choice, while the iQOO Z10 excels in clicking human portraits and selfie shots.
It’s worth pointing out that since both phones lack an ultrawide lens, you’ll miss out on capturing wide field of view images. If you are into landscape photography, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion (review) and Nothing Phone (3a) (review) are worth considering under Rs 25,000.
