Earlier this year, Micromax partnered with Vodafone to launch an affordable 4G smartphone called the Bharat 2 Ultra. Now, another smartphone maker, itel Mobile has partnered with the telecom operator to launch a budget 4G smartphone called the itel A20. The phone is priced at Rs 3,690, but is available from Vodafone at an effective price tag of Rs 1,590.

To get the itel A20 at the effective price of Rs 1,590, you will need to first pay Rs 3,690 up front. You will then will need to recharge their number with Rs 150 or more per month for 36 months. You will get a cashback of Rs 900 at the end of 18 months, and if you continue the recharge of Rs 150 per month, you will get an additional cashback of Rs 1,200 after another 18 months. The recharge can be done either cumulatively or as a one-time recharge.

Talking about the features, the itel A20 offers 4G LTE and VoLTE (voice over LTE) connectivity features. The phone boots Android 7.0 Nougat, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, mated to 1GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board is 8GB, which can be further increased by inserting a microSD card. A 1,500mAh battery keeps the smartphone running. There’s no word regarding the handset’s display or camera specifications at the moment.

In related news, Vodafone recently partnered with Micromax to offer a cashback of up to Rs 2,200 on select 4G smartphones. Under the scheme, buyers will need to pay the sticker price of the devices up front, and will need to recharge their Vodafone numbers for a minimum of Rs 150 per month over a period of 36 months. Then they will be awarded a cashback of Rs 2,200.
