Last month, itel — a sub-brand of Transsion holdings — launched the itel A62 smartphone in India at a competitive price of Rs 7,499. It became the company’s first device with dual rear cameras. Today, itel has gone ahead and announced another affordable smartphone called the itel A45 with Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) and a pair of cameras at the rear. Alongside it, the brand also introduced the all-new A22 and A22 Pro smartphones in the country.
As for the specifications, the itel A45 flaunts a 5.45-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. For photography, the handset boasts of a dual 5MP AF and VGA sensors with LED flash on the rear and a 5MP shooter on the front with soft selfie flash. Other features include a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6739WA SoC, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, which is futher expandable up to 128GB. A 2,700mAh battery keeps things ticking inside. The smartphone comes in Midnight Black, Anthracite Grey, and Rose Gold colour variants.
Coming to the A22 and A22 Pro smartphones, both have Snapdragon 210 SoC ticking at their cores, and a 5-inch IPS display with 480 x 954 pixels resolution up front. The only notable difference between the two smartphones is the OS, RAM and storage. While the A22 is an Android GO smartphone and is equipped with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage, the A22 Pro runs Android 8.1 Oreo and offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage. Apart from this, everything else is the same including a 2,400mAh battery, up to 32GB expandable storage, a 5MP sensor on the rear and 2MP sensor on the for selfies and video calling. The new A22 models come in three colour options of Space Grey, Champagne Gold, and Midnight Black.
As for the pricing, the itel A45 retails at Rs 5,999, followed by Rs 5,499 for the itel A22 and Rs 6,499 for the itel A22 Pro. All the three smartphones are available for sale starting today, in all electronic stores across the country.
