“The new Jio Phone recharges with 500 minutes of bundled voice calls to non-Jio numbers are priced at Rs 75, Rs 125, Rs 155, and Rs 185”
New Jio Phone recharges have been launched by the Mukesh Ambani-promoted telecom operator just days after it rolled out plans for telecom operators who use smartphones. Prices of these new Jio Phone recharges start at Rs 75 and go up to Rs 185, with subscribers getting 500 minutes of voice calling to non-Jio numbers with all four packs. While more expensive than the old Jio Phone recharges, these new plans offer up to three times more data. The validity of all four packs is 28 days.
If we compare the new recharges with the existing ones, the JioPhone 49 recharge (with Rs 10 top-up voucher) offers just 1GB of data and 124 IUC minutes. The plan comes with a top-up of up to Rs 1,000 to get up to 14,074 IUC minutes. This plan comes with a validity of just 28 days. With JioPhone 99, JioPhone 297, and JioPhone 594, you get 0.5GB of data per day but the validity periods for these plans are 14GB, 42GB, and 84GB, respectively.
The JioPhone 153 plan offers 1.5GB of data per day and comes with a validity of 28 days. The IUC minutes range from 124 minutes to 14,074 minutes, depending on the top-up recharge. To recall, just recently new Jio plans were launched by the telecom operator as it clamped down on free calls made to rival networks. The new Jio plans have been priced at Rs 222, Rs 333, Rs 444, and Rs 555 by the company and offer 2GB data per day and up to 3,000 minutes of bundled calls made to rival telecom operators such as Airtel, Vodafone, Idea etc.
