Jio Phone Next price in India was earlier rumoured to be Rs 3,499. However, Jio might increase the price when the phone launched ahead of Diwali.
As of now, there's no official announcement from the company regarding the Jio Phone Next price. Several reports have suggested that the smartphone could be priced at Rs 3,499. However, according to the latest Economic Times report, the Jio Phone Next price could be higher than rumoured. As per the industry experts, the global chip shortage has increased the prices of components by 20 percent, forcing many smartphone makers to hike the prices of their phones. This could also force Jio to increase the price for the Jio Phone Next from what the company originally planned.
The report further suggests that the Jio Phone Next would have a very limited shelf life as the telecom giant has to start procuring components for new SKUs for the next year. The component prices will increase in the coming 6-8 months, increasing the availability time for procurement.
The Jio Phone Next might come with a 5.5-inch HD display sporting thick black bezels at the top and bottom. It would be powered by the Snapdragon 215 chipset, an entry-level 4G chipset from Qualcomm. The chipset inside would be paired with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The smartphone would be running Android 11 (Go Edition) with some special features announced by Google during the announcement. It might boast a 2,500mAh battery. Jio Phone Next would come with a 13MP primary rear camera and an 8MP camera on the front.
