Jio Rs 1,699 recharge with 547.5GB data launched; new cashback offer announced too

A new Jio recharge priced at Rs 1,699 has been launched by the company ahead of the festive season. The Mukesh Ambani-led telco is offering 365-day validity, 4G data benefit, unlimited voice calling across the country, free SMS service and other complimentary benefits. Additionally, Jio is also offering 100 percent cashback on all its prepaid recharges and postpaid plans from today – which is October 18th – to November 30th, 2018.


Rs 1,699 Jio recharge

Talking about the new Rs 1,699 Jio recharge, it joins the company’s other long-term recharges of Rs 4,999 and Rs 9,999 that come with year-long validity. However, unlike the Rs 4,999 and Rs 9,999 prepaid packs that offer a lumpsum data for the entire validity period, the new Rs 1,699 Jio recharge comes with a daily cap on data consumption.

To get into the details, the Rs 1,699 pack offers 547.5GB data in total, which is capped to 1.5GB per day. The recharge also packs unlimited local/ national voice calling and 100 free SMSes to local, national and international networks. Not to forget, the subscribers will also get free access to Jio apps, including the Jio TV, Music, Cinema, with the plan.

Jio cashback offer

Coming to the cashback offer, Jio is offering 100 percent cashback to subscribers opting for any recharge, including the new Rs 1,699 as well. However, the cashback is in the form of coupons, which can be redeemed at Reliance Digital or Reliance Digital Xpress Mini stores on a minimum purchase of Rs 5,000.


Prepaid plans eligible for the cashback are: Rs 149, Rs 198, Rs 299, Rs 349, Rs 398, Rs 399, Rs 448, Rs 449, Rs 498 and Rs 509, these will get one coupon of the same value. Similarly, coupons will be provided on recharges worth Rs 799, Rs 999, Rs 1,699, Rs 1,999, Rs 4,999 and Rs 9,999 on the respective recharges.
