Jio Rs 151, Rs 201, and Rs 251 add-on packs validity revealed, plans offer up to 50GB data

New Jio Work From Home recharge plans were launched earlier this month that included three add-on packs to address the demand for data consumption that shot up during the coronavirus pandemic. The Rs 151, Rs 201, and Rs 251 add-on packs offer additional data to users who have exhausted the daily high-speed data allocation of their existing recharge plan. At the time of the launch, Jio did not reveal the validity of the add-on packs. We now know that all the three Jio add-on packs will be valid for 30 days from the day of recharge. That means whatever additional data that remain post the validity will lapse and users will be required to recharge their accounts once again.

The validity period for each of the new Jio add-on pack is reflecting on the official Jio website and MyJio app under 4G data vouchers’ Work From Home packs. The Rs 151 pack offers 30GB data with 30 days validity, while the Rs 201 and Rs 251 recharges offer 40GB and 50GB data, respectively, and are also valid for 30 days.

That’s not the only change the telco has made in recent times. Jio recently discontinued its entry-level Rs 98 recharge for prepaid users in India. The cheapest recharge pack now is the Rs 129 plan that offers unlimited Jio-to-Jio voice calls, 300 SMSes, 1,000 minutes non-Jio calling, and complimentary access to Jio apps and services such as live TV. In addition to that, the company has also launched a new Rs 999 recharge, which is bundled with 3GB daily high-speed data, unlimited Jio-to-Jio free voice calls, 3,000 minutes for non-Jio calls, 100 SMS messages per day, and free access to JioTV, JioCinema, and JioSavn, among other Jio services. The Jio Rs 999 pack comes with Rs 84 days validity.
