Jio has announced new Rs 499, Rs 666, and Rs 888 prepaid plans, as well as Rs 549 data add-on pack, that will replace the Rs 401, Rs 777, and Rs 499 packs in India. They will be available for recharge across the country starting tomorrow. The new Jio recharge plans come bundled with a free Disney Plus Hotstar mobile subscription, which replaces the existing Disney Plus Hotstar VIP subscription for all users starting September 1st. The telco has also refreshed its Rs 2,599 plan. The new Disney Plus Hotstar Mobile plan is priced at Rs 499 for the whole year and offers access to all content that too in the original language. These are the new Jio Disney Plus Hotstar plans. As you can see from the table, the entry-level Rs 499 Jio recharge plan offers unlimited voice calls to all networks across the country, free SMSes (100 per day), a whopping 3GB of data per day, and a subscription to Disney Plus Hotstar Mobile along with Jio apps. The plan comes with a validity of 28 days. The Rs 666 and Rs 888 Jio recharge plan, on the other hand, are bundled with 2GB data/ day and a validity of 56 days and 84 days respectively. The other benefits remain pretty much the same.
The Rs 2,599 Jio recharge plan, which was launched last year, will also offer a 1-year Disney Plus Hotstar subscription to users. It’s a long-term prepaid plan from the Mukesh Ambani-promoted telco, with 365 days validity, a quota of 2GB data a day, free voice calls, unlimited SMSes (capped at 100 per day), and access to Jio apps. The new Rs 549 data add-on pack offers Disney Plus Hotstar Mobile subscription, along with the 1.5GB per day data benefit. The pack has a validity of 56 days.
The Jio Disney Plus Hotstar VIP packs, with Rs 499, Rs 401, Rs 777, and Rs 2,599 denominations, which are currently listed on the official website, are likely to be discontinued soon. That said, all Jio customers on active Disney+ Hotstar plans will continue to enjoy the existing benefits until their current subscription expires.
“The new Jio plans will offer all the above benefits on Disney+ Hotstar plus a new library of international content in the English language including Disney+ originals, TV shows from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, HBO, FX, Showtime & much more,” the company announced.
