Vi, Airtel, BSNL, and Jio all have been luring customers with their respective all-in-one recharge packs that go easy on the pocket and offer maximum benefits. Telcos like Airtel and Vi have recently hiked the prices of all of their prepaid plans. Hence, we decided to put some of the most inexpensive prepaid plans of Jio, Vi, Airtel, and BSNL to see which is the best-prepaid plan under Rs 100 in India right now.
Best recharge plan under Rs 100
Jio Rs 98 recharge plan
Rs 98 recharge plan from Jio was reintroduced in India earlier this year. You don’t get any SMS benefits, but the plan offers free voice calls, a total of 21 GB of data with a cap of 1.5 GB per day, and a subscription to Jio apps such as JioTV, JioCinema, JioNews, and JioSaavn. The Jio Rs 98 prepaid pack has a validity of 14 days.
Airtel Rs 99 recharge plan
It’s a smart recharge from Airtel with 28 days validity. You get limited services such as 99 minutes of talktime and 200MB data, but your SIM will remain active for the entire period. There isn’t does not offer any SMS benefit with this plan.
Vi Rs 99 recharge plan
Vi Rs 99 recharge plan also doesn’t offer a quota of free SMSes, but it has a validity of 28 days. Similar to Airtel’s Rs 99 prepaid plan, it comes with a talktime worth Rs 99 at 1 paisa/second and 200MB data.
BSNL Rs 97 recharge plan
This plan from BSNL offers 2GB per day data for a period of 18 days. It also comes with unlimited voice calls and 100 daily SMSes cap. While the prepaid plan seems better than Jio and Vodafone Idea aka Vi, it’s not available in all regions. BSNL users in Andaman & Nicobar, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, and J&K can’t recharge their numbers with the Rs 97 prepaid pack.
Verdict: Which is the best recharge plan under Rs 100?
In terms of benefits, BSNL Rs 97 plan clearly has an edge over Vi, Jio, and Airtel. The telco offers 2GB of data per day, along with free voice calls, and SMSes. However, the plan is not available in all regions across the country. In that case, you are better off with Jio’s Rs 98 prepaid pack, which offers 1.5 GB data per day, free voice calls, and access to Jio apps. In case you are looking for a plan with more validity period, then you can go with Vi’s Rs 99 recharge plan or Airtel’s Rs 99 recharge plan.
