“JioTV users will soon be able to watch the premium content on Hotstar for free”
Reliance Jio’s JioTV app initially launched with 200 channels across six languages. The service now offers 432 live channels across 15 regional languages. In addition, Reliance Jio is now all set to offer Hotstar premium service to its JioTV app users. There’s a Hotstar option inside the JioTV app on Android and iOS, clicking on which says “Hotstar Premium membership on JioTV will be available shortly”.
Thanks to Hotstar Premium service, JioTV app users will have access to live sports including cricket, Premier League and Formula 1. Hotstar also offers American and Indian TV shows, and Hollywood and Bollywood movies. Hotstar Premium costs Rs 199 per month, with a one month free subscription for new users.
As for the JioTV app, the service now has 10 categories. It offers eight business news channels, 31 devotional channels, 100 entertainment channels, 27 infotainment channels, 23 kids channels, 12 lifestyle channels, 38 movie channels, 34 music channels, 139 news channels and 20 sports channels.
