Telecom giant, Jio has a range of its in-house apps, including Jio Cinema, JioTV, JioSaavn and more. The JioCinema app includes multiple OTT platforms so users don’t have to install multiple applications. Similarly, JioTV is a great alternative to watch live TV channels like cricket, daily serials, news and more. These apps are available for Android, iOS, and Jio Phone. These are free-to-use applications for Jio customers. Now, the company has announced the Jio Watch Party feature. This will allow friends and family to catch an event live together even from far away locations.
The JioTV Watch Party will be available for all users across the country but unfortunately, it is applicable only for having a watch party for cricket events. We believe the company will expand it to other content soon.
JioTV Watch Party
JioTV has finally announced the Watch Party feature and it is applicable only for cricket events. Once you start watching a match, you will get an option below the screen called “Watch Party”. You can just tap the icon to get started. You can create your own watch party or join a watch party created by your friend/family using the link.
Users can try the JioTv Watch mode during the third and final ODI of the England vs India series, which will happen on July 17th in Manchester. Users must be on the latest version of the JioTV on Android and iOS. Jio might roll out the feature to all content in the near future. JioMeet is another product from Jio that enables the Watch Party feature for JioTV users.
For those unaware, JioMeet is for those who are unaware is Jio’s video conferencing platform that is available as an app and can be accessed via a website.
