Kantara Hindi has been released on Netflix in India. Rishab Shetty’s action thriller became one of the biggest hits of 2022 and is also the second-highest-grossing Kannada film of all time. It even received appreciation from critics and fans nationwide. Kantara was released on Amazon Prime Video last month in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages. Meanwhile, Netflix bagged the rights to stream Kantara Hindi.

Kantara is directed by Rishab Shetty who also starts as the movie’s lead alongside Sapthami Gowda and Kishore. After the movie’s release on Amazon Prime Video, many fans were eagerly waiting for the Hindi dubbed version. It was soon revealed that the Hindi version will stream on Netflix.

Kantara has received acclaim from critics and the audience. The Hindu wrote in its review that, “Rishab Shetty succeeds in meticulously bringing a tale of myths, legends, and superstition, and that too in his native dialect.” Meanwhile, the New Indian Express said the film is “a compelling revenge-action drama with a neat blend of crime and divinity.” The Times of India’s review of Kantara called the movie “a visual grandeur”

Kantara recently courted controversy regarding its popular song ‘Varaha Roopam’, as a band claimed it was too similar to an original. However, the courts have now directed the filmmakers to add the song back to the film.
