Kia EV6 is all set to launch in India early next month. It will be the automaker’s first electric vehicle in the country, and evidently, there is a lot of anticipation surrounding the announcement. The car was recently spotted at the company’s Andhra Pradesh plant giving a sneak peek into the colour options that would be available at launch and obviously the design. The Kia EV6 specifications in India are likely to be the same as the global variant, which was introduced back in March 2021. However, there are speculations that Kia will only import a handful (100) of units to the country and expand the figures based on the reception. It would be interesting to see where Kia places its upcoming EV6 in India with regards to the price.

Kia EV6 launch in India is set for June 2nd. This will be the brand’s first electric vehicle in the country. The car can be booked online from the company’s official website for a token amount of Rs 3 lakh. That said, the Kia EV6 price in India is said to be anything but affordable.

Kia EV6 price in India (expected)

The Kia EV6 priced in India is expected to be around Rs 50-60 lakh and will arrive via the CBU aka Completely Built Up route. This means that the car will be imported in the country instead of manufactring locally, which is likely to increase its overall price. As said, Kia is bringing only 100 units of the EV6 this year, which will be them through 15 dealerships across 12 cities in the country.

The Kia EV6 has a premium design and it looks quite modern from the exterior. The car will get LED headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and a grille positioned above the air dam. There is a light bar running through the boot that is an instant eye-pleaser and will definitely make heads turn. Additionally, we also get a dual-tone rear bumper as well.

 A light bar running the length of the boot accentuates the appearance along with a dual-tone rear bumper. The EV was seen in Red, White, Silver and Black colour options. We get Kia branding on the bonnet. On the inside, the Kia EV6 gets a dual 12.3-inch screen, paddle shifters, an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, climate control, an electric parking brake with an auto-hold function, and different drive modes.

The Kia EV6 India version will come with a 77.4kWh battery, with support for a 50kW and 350kW charger. The latter is claimed to take around 18 minutes to charge from 10-80 percent while the former takes 73 minutes. Kia will launch the car in rear-wheel-drive (RWD) single motor and all-wheel-drive (AWD) dual-motor layouts. The former produces 229hp and 350Nm, while the latter makes 325hp and 605Nm.

One full charge is claimed to offer 528 km. The car will offer an Augmented Reality heads-up Display, 14-speaker Meridian sound system, connected car tech, and electronically adjustable front seat. The EV has been offered a five-star safety rating by the Euro NCAP and 2022 European Car of the year.
