[Exclusive]: Lava Z92 and ZX with notched displays coming soon: specs and images

In the past few months, most of the phonemakers around the globe have launched their notch-bearing smartphones. However, the Indian smartphone manufacturers have been slow to adopt the new trend. Micromax, one of the popular domestic phone makers, released its first notch-toting smartphones just last December. Now, it appears that Lava is all set to follow Micromax by launching two notch-bearing mobile phones dubbed the Lava Z92 and Lava ZX.

Lava Z92 render

Ahead of the official launch, 91mobiles has exclusively obtained the press renders and specs sheets of the upcoming Lava Z92 and Lava ZX. The photos reveal that both the upcoming Lava phones will look very similar from the front. They will have slim bezels on the sides, a thick chin, and a notch above the screen. While the Lava Z92’s selfie camera will be placed on the left side of the earpiece, the Lava ZX’s front snapper will be located on the right side. The volume rocker and power keys of these devices will be placed on the right side.

Talking about the features, the Lava Z92 will feature a screen resolution of 1,520 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 320 DPI. The phone will be powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6761 processor, aided by 3GB of RAM and PowerVR GE8300 graphics. Software-wise, the device will boot Android 8.1 Oreo. As for the Lava ZX, the leaked spec sheet suggests that the phone will have a more powerful octa-core MediaTek MT6762 processor, aided by 4GB of RAM and PowerVR GE8320 graphics. This one will also offer a resolution of 1,520 x 720 pixels, and boot Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

As of now, there’s no word regarding the pricing and availability details of the Lava Z92 and ZX. However, we expect them to be released at some point in the coming weeks under Rs 10,000.
