Personal computing major Lenovo has launched a new laptop in India today, catering to professionals who require a high performance laptop with multitasking and creativity-focused workflow layout. The key selling point of the new laptop, called the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 3, is the use of a 21:10 ultra-wide aspect ratio in the primary display, and a secondary display placed like a built-in tablet beside the keyboard — making it akin to Asus’ ZenBook Duo line of dual-screen laptops. Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 price in India, availability

The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 is available to purchase in India starting today. The laptop can be purchased on the Lenovo India official store, as well as in third party offline retail outlets. However, Lenovo has not mentioned anything on whether it would be available on online e-commerce platforms as well. The laptop retails at a base price of Rs 1,94,990.

Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 specifications

The key highlight of the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 laptop is the use of a 17.3-inch main display, with 21:10 aspect ratio. The display offers 3K screen resolution (3072 x 1440 pixels), with 120Hz refresh rate, 99 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, touch input and 400 nits peak brightness. Accompanying this is a second display, which is placed to the right of the keyboard and trackpad, and looks like an embedded tablet within the laptop base. This second display is 8-inch in size, and offers HD+ resolution (800 x 1280 pixels). It is a 60Hz refresh rate panel, with 350Hz peak brightness, 60 percent NTSC colour gamut coverage, and touch inputs.

Other key specifications of the laptop include 12th generation Intel Core i7-12700H processor, with 14 cores and 20 threads. The processor is clocked at a peak clock speed of 4.7GHz, and has 24MB cache memory. This is paired with 16GB DDR5 memory, clocked at 4800MHz. The RAM on the laptop is not upgradeable, and is combined with 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD for storage — which too is not upgradeable. It is powered by Intel Iris Xe graphics processor, integrated with the CPU.

Other key specifications include two 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos certification and Harman Kardon branding, a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, a full HD video calling webcam with a privacy shutter, and a 69Wh battery that is rated for 8.4 hours of full HD video playback.
