Lenovo introduced its ThinkPad X1 Extreme laptop last year at IFA 2018 as the most powerful ThinkPad series of laptops. The brand announced that the new laptops are ideal for data-intensive workloads, video and photo editing, graphics rendering, and virtual and mixed reality applications. Today, the company has gone ahead and silently listed the entire series on its website with prices starting from Rs 1.97 Lakh.

The company has launched the ThinkPad X1 Extreme in India in three configurations. The base variant which comes with a price tag of Rs 1.97 Lakh features Intel Core i5 chipset. There are two more high-end Intel Core i7-powered variants with 512GB and 1TB of SSD storage that are  priced at Rs 2.04 Lakh and Rs 3.02 Lakh, respectively. The ThinkPad X1 Extreme with 1TB SSD will start shipping from January 10th, whereas the other two are up for grabs right away.

The latest laptop from the brand ships with a 15.6-inch display featuring 4K UHD HDR touchscreen, 400nits brightness, and Dolby Vision. There is another option with Full HD non-touch display with 300nits brightness. The processor on each variant is backed by GTX 1050Ti graphics and can be configured with up to 64GB RAM. There are two PCIe SSD storage to expand the onboard storage up to 2TB. As is standard with ThinkPad laptops, RAM and SSDs are not soldered, which means they can be easily replaced or upgraded in the future. For system cooling, Lenovo uses a dual-fan cooling system that uses hybrid cooling to regulate the heat dissipated.

On the connectivity front, the ThinkPad X1 Extreme offers two USB 3.1 ports, two USB Type-C Thunderbolt ports, 4-in-1 SD card reader, HDMI 2.0, audio/mic combo, Wi-Fi 802.11 AC 2×2 and Bluetooth 5.0. Security options include Fast Online Identity (FIDO) authentication capabilities, dTPM 2.0, fingerprint reader, Windows Hello with facial recognition, ThinkShutter, and Kensington lock slot.

As for the battery, the laptop is equipped with 80Wh battery, which delivers up to 15 hours of battery life. Lenovo claims that the Rapid Charge technology used in the laptop can deliver up to 12 hours of backup in just 60 minutes.
