Lenova Yoga S940 premium laptop launched in India, IdeaPad S series refreshed too

Lenovo has added new laptops to its IdeaPad and Yoga portfolios in India. At its event in New Delhi, the company unveiled the premium Lenovo Yoga S940, IdeaPad S540, IdeaPad S340, and IdeaPad S145 notebooks. While the Lenovo IdeaPad S145 laptop is the most affordable in the lineup, the Lenovo Yoga S940 is the most premium with ultra-slim design, aluminium body, hands-free login, almost bezel-less 4K HDR display, and Dolby Atmos speaker. All three laptops are powered by up to 8th-Gen Intel Core i7 processor and run Windows 10 OS out of the box.

Lenovo IdeaPad S series and Yoga S940 price

 The Lenovo IdeaPad S145 price in India starts at Rs 23,990, while the IdeaPad S340 and Ideapad S540 cost Rs 36,990 and 64,990, respectively. The Lenovo Yoga S940 machine, meanwhile, costs Rs 1,39,990 for its entry-level variant with 8th-gen Intel Core i5 processor. There is a higher-end variant has 8th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU ticking at its core. Consumers can now also customise and build their own S940 with the specific features they want, with Lenovo’s ‘Made to Order’ program. All the four laptops will be available Lenovo.com, leading e-tailers, and Lenovo stores across the country.

Starting with the Lenovo Yoga S940 laptop, it ships with up to 14-inch full-HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) display that has slims bezels and a glass layer up top for a minimalist look. The machine rocks up to 8th-gen Intel Core i7 processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage. The machine holds a 4-cell 52Whr battery with RapidCharge support that is rated to last for around 15 hours.

Apart from this, the Lenovo Yoga S940 includes an IR sensor for facial recognition and AI-powered Glance feature that tracks eye movement and shifts the content from the laptop’s display to a connected monitor with just the flick of the eyes. The machine’s display is also capable of saving the on-screen content and automatically turn it dark as soon as users turn away their eyes. The additional BackBlur feature can blur the background during a video call.

The new IdeaPad series, on the other hand, is touted as powerful, stylish, and lightweight laptops. The affordable IdeaPad S145 machine packs a 15.6-inch display, up to 12GB RAM and 128GB storage, and built-in 3W speakers with Dolby Atmos. The IdeaPad S340 rocks 14-inch FHD display, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB PCIe SSD storage, 4W speakers with Dolby Atmos, and privacy shutter as the added privacy feature. Lastly, the IdeaPad S540 boasts 15-inch FHD display, up to 12GB RAM and 512GB PCIe storage, 4W speakers fine-tuned by Dolby Atmos, premium-looking design, and fingerprint scanner.
