Lenovo Z6 Pro with Snapdragon 855 SoC, four rear cameras launched: price, specifications

Lenovo Z6 Pro, the brand’s next-gen flagship smartphone, has finally broken cover in China. The handset debuts as the successor to last year’s Lenovo Z5 Pro GT, which was the industry’s first smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC. The new Lenovo Z6 Pro is driven by the same mobile platform but includes several other interesting features. To start with, the phone has AI-backed quad-rear camera set up along with a ToF lens, PC-like liquid cooling tech, a beefy battery, and the next-gen in-display fingerprint sensor. While the Lenovo Z6 Pro was teased to come with the capability of delivering photos in 100MP resolution, the company did not announce the feature at the event.

Lenovo Z6 Pro price, availability

The Lenovo Z6 Pro price in China is set at RMB 2,899 (~Rs 30,000) for the base 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variants cost RMB 2,999 (~Rs 31,000) and RMB 3,799 (~Rs 40,000), respectively. The high-end option with a whopping 12GB RAM and 512GB storage will set you back to RMB 4,999 (~Rs 52,000). In China, the handset will be sold in two hues: Blue and Red.

Lenovo Z6 Pro specifications

In terms of specifications, the Lenovo Z6 Pro comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display that bears full-HD+ resolution and sixth-gen in-display fingerprint sensor. The panel also comes with HDR 10 support and a slight cut-out up top that houses a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calling. The rear cameras of the phone feature a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, 16MP 125-degree wide angle lens, 8MP 5x zoom telephoto lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera sensors are backed by AI machine learning, six-axis OIS, 125-degree wide-angle lens, and 2.39cm Super Macro mode. There’s also a Super Night mode for lowlight photography and a Hyper Video feature that is a combination of hardware and software and is claimed to capture videos with superior quality.

The mighty Snapdragon 855 SoC ticking at the Z6 Pro’s core is mated with a ColdFront cooling tech, up to 12GB of RAM, and 512GB onboard storage. The phone comes pre-loaded with Android 9 Pie-based ZUI 11 to take care of the software side of things. The entire setup is run by 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support. Other features include Dolby Atmos sound support, dual GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, dual SIM 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC.
