“The Lenovo Z6 is expected to be a standard version of the Z6 Pro smartphone that was launched last month”
After launching its flagship Z6 Pro smartphone a couple of weeks ago, Lenovo seems to be working on a new ‘Z’ series phone. The handset could either be the Lenovo Z6, or a new variant of Lenovo Z6 Pro with 5G cellular connectivity. Ahead of its release, the phone has been spotted passing through China’s 3C authority with model number L78021. Since the Lenovo Z6 Pro smartphone has L78051 model number, speculations are that the certified handset could be nothing but a variant of Lenovo Z6 series.
The 3C’s listing doesn’t shed much light on the ‘mysterious’ Lenovo handset, except that it’ll have an 18W fast charging support, which is slightly less impressive than the Lenovo Z6 Pro’s 27W fast charging. This means that the Lenovo L78021 will likely be a mid-range variant. However, the model number is a higher series of the “L78” base number, which makes us believe it could be a 5G model. Apart from this, we don’t know much else about the handset.
If the phone in question is a 5G smartphone, it’s likely to come with same specs as the regular Lenovo Z6 Pro. To recall, the Z6 Pro ships with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and a quad camera setup consisting of 48-megapixel (f/1.8) + 16-megapixel 125-degree wide angle lens + 8-megapixel 5x zoom telephoto lens + 2-megapixel depth sensor on the rear. The front camera gets a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. The handset also employs a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with bears full-HD+ resolution, sixth-gen in-display fingerprint sensor, 4,000mAh battery, up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB onboard storage.
