“It is possible the South-Korean giant might launch its 2019 OLED and NanoCell TVs in the country”
Now that it’s done with the launch of W10, W30, and W30 Pro smartphones, LG has scheduled an event in India for July 10th. The brand has already started sending out media invites for the same and is expected to introduce its new AI-powered smart TVs. Unfortunately, no other details are revealed just yet. It is possible the South-Korean giant might launch its 2019 OLED and NanoCell TV line-up in the country, which was initially announced earlier this year ahead of the CES show.
LG’s 2019 TV line-up offers upgraded AI picture and sound quality, leveraging on the company’s second-generation α9 intelligent processor and deep learning technology. The TVs pack HDMI 2.1 port that enables higher data transfer bandwidth to facilitate 4K and 8K playback, as well as transferring lossless audio data. The AI engine on TV is said to analyse the content source and claimed to offer the best upscaling method and resolution for an immersive viewing experience.
The South Korean company says that its algorithms have been trained with millions of visual data points to understand the luminance and chrominance in images displayed on the screen. The 2019 TV line-up includes support for Amazon Alexa voice assistant alongside Google Assistant for hands-free control, as well as a newly designed home interface for easy navigation. The TVs also get accurate 4K playback and 120Hz refresh rates. Since the launch event is still more than a week away, we should know more details pretty soon.
