LG K50S and K40S smartphones have been announced ahead of the IFA 2019 show in Berlin. The brand says these phones are equipped with improved cameras, better displays, and larger batteries. Both the phones pack an ultra-wide-angle sensor and meet the U.S. military MIL-STD-810G standard for durability. The LG K50S and K40S also feature a dedicated Google Assistant button for easy access. These phones will be on display at LG’s booth in Hall 18 of Messe Berlin during the IFA show that starts from September 6th.

The LG K50S sports a 6.5-inch HD+ FullVision display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 1520 × 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor, however, the chipset name hasn’t been revealed. The smartphone packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage that is further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. The handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and has a 4,000mAh battery. In terms of optics, the LG K50S rocks triple rear camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor with PDAF, a 5MP Ultra-Wide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 13MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity features includes dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS + GLONASS.

On the other hand, the LG K40S flaunts a relatively smaller 6.1-inch HD+ FullVision display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 1520 × 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor. It comes in two variants; 2GB + 32GB and 3GB + 32GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and has a 3,500mAh battery. The LG K40S features dual camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor with PDAF and a 5MP Ultra-Wide sensor. There is a 13MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity features includes dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS + GLONASS. 

The new K series will be available in Europe, Latin America and Asia starting from October and will come in Aurora Black and Moroccan Blue colour options. However, the pricing hasn’t been revealed yet.
