LG Electronics has launched a new range of AI ThinQ televisions in India. These TVs have display sizes ranging between 32-inch and 77-inch and have been segregated into SMART, LED, UHD, NanoCell, and OLED AI ThinQ categories. Thanks to the advanced LG ThinQ AI conversational voice recognition technology, LG claims the new TVs can understand hundreds of voice commands and handle requests of greater complexity. Buyers can use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to perform a series of actions such as controlling smart lighting, reporting on weather, schedule calendar events and more. They can connect external gaming consoles and soundbars by saying, Alexa, Connect to soundbar, switch to movie mode by saying Alexa, Change to Cinema Mode, and even schedule the TV to turn off at set times.
The LG NanoCell TVs offer clear and crisp picture quality and vibrant colours. It comes with Nano Color with Full Array Dimming, Nano Accuracy and Nano Bezel. The new range of LG TVs are powered by the company’s second-generation α9 intelligent processor and deep learning technology. The processor optimises the picture and audio quality by recognising the source and implements the best algorithm to display true-to-life images and deliver clear audio. The processor also analyses ambient conditions to optimise the screen brightness. Users can directly speak into the LG Magic Remote to search for shows, change TV settings, switch to different inputs and more.
The new LG TVs support Dolby Vision, HDR10 Pro, HLG Pro HDR and Dolby Atmos for realistic and immersive audio. The ‘Mobile Connection Overlay’ allows users to view both mobile and television screens simultaneously. These come with Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Hotstar, YouTube, Eros Now, Zee5, AltBalaji, Hungama Play, Sun NXT and Yupp TV apps pre-installed. The LG Smart TVs start at Rs 24,990, the NanoCell category begins at Rs 82,990 onwards, the UHD range starts at Rs 50,990, lastly, the OLED range beings at RS 2,09,990.
