LG Style 3 launched with 48MP dual rear cameras and Snapdragon 845 SoC

The handset is a refreshed version of the LG V40 ThinQ smartphone from 2018.

LG has launched its new smartphone, called Style 3, in Japan. The handset appears to be a refreshed version of the flagship LG V40 ThinQ from 2018. The LG Style 3 rocks the dated Snapdragon 845 SoC and sports dual rear cameras with 48MP primary sensor. The fascia of the handset sports an OLED display with traditional notch atop. Other key highlights of the LG Style 3 include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP68-certified dust- and water-resistant build, dedicated Google Assistant button, and NFC support.

LG Style 3 specifications

The LG Style 3 sports a 6.1-inch OLED display with QHD+ (1,440 x 3,120 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, which was the flagship chipset back in 2018, coupled with 4GB of RAM under the hood. The handset runs Android 10 OS out of the box. For photography, the LG Style 3 sports dual rear cameras, which comprises of 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 5MP secondary sensor with an f/2.2 lens. The phone’s front camera is equipped with an 8MP sensor with f/1.9 lens for selfies and video calling.

The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security and 64GB storage onboard that is expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB). As for the connectivity options, the phone houses 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A 3,500mAh battery rounds off the specs sheet of the LG Style 3.

LG Style 3 price, availability

LG is yet to reveal the price and availability details of the Style 3 smartphone. The handset, however, is listed on the website of Japanese network operator NTT Docomo. It comes in two colour options: Aurora White and Mirror Black. There is no word on the LG Style 3 launch in other markets, including India, at the moment.
