“The Tone+ Free is LG’s first pair of truly wireless of earbuds and offer up to 6 hours of playback and IPX4 rating for splash resistance”
LG has announced its first pair of truly wireless earbuds in Korea. The LG Tone+ Free earbuds offer rich sound thanks to the use of advanced audio tuning tech and rich signal processing tech from Meridian Audio. The earbuds provide bass that is rich, and clear highs and mids. They can also reduce digital noise, which in turn minimises distortion. According to LG, the Tone+ Free earbuds can provide 3D sound and are meant for users with an active lifestyle. These earbuds come with a case, which is protected with a UV nano coat against ultraviolet rays.
One of the main features of these earbuds, which LG is talking about, is fast charging. A five minute charge can provide up to an hour of playback. When the earbuds are fully juiced up, they can last a total of six hours. LG hasn’t detailed how much additional charge the case can hold. The earbuds also get IPX4 rating, which means that they’re protected from sweat and light showers. They have two microphones each, one for removing noise and other for voice.
LG has included touch controls on both the earbuds, which lets the user control music playback, end/ receive calls, and also activate Google Assistant. Users can hold the touch pad to activate the assistant and then use commands to get things done. LG states that the design of the earbuds will provide a comfortable fit for all types of ear shapes. We are not sure if the company would launch these earbuds in India as they are limited to Korea for now.
The LG Tone+ Free earbuds are priced at KRW 25,999, which is around Rs 15,000. Interested folks will be able to purchase the earbuds starting October 28th, but can pre-order them from today till October 14th via 11th Avenue, a local online shopping mall. The earbuds will be available in Black or White colour options. Only the Black variant is currently available for pre-order, with the White option hitting markets later on.
