The LG V30+ comes as a higher-storage variant of the V30
Last month, some reports indicated that the South Korean tech giant LG wouldbe launching the V30(first impressions)flagship in India in December this year. Today, the company has announced that it will be launching the higher-storage variant of the phone called the LG V30+ in India. The device will be launched in the country at an event in New Delhi on December 13th. The LG V30+ was unveiled at IFA in Berlin in August as the worlds first smartphone to boast a P-OLED FullVision display and a camera module with anaperture of f/1.6.
To recap on the specs, the LG V30+ (first impressions)flaunts a 6-inch QHD+ display with nearly no bezels and a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 for protection against scratches. The phone boasts IP68 certification for water- and dust-resistance. Powering the flagship is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For security, the device gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, facial and voice recognition.
The camera department on the LG V30+ includes a 16MP primary camera at the rear, accompanied by another 13MP sensor. The main camera sensor features an aperture of f/1.6, OIS, EIS, 3-axis stabilisation, laser and phase detection autofocus. For selfies and video-calling, it has been equipped with a 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture. Software-wise, it boots Android Nougat, and will be getting the Android Oreo update in the coming weeks.
Coming to the other features, the LG V30+ sports 128GB of expandable storage. The phone gets a 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC powered by ESS Technologys SABRE ES9218P. The handset also comes with a set of high-quality B&O Play earphones for an immersive media experience. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, USB Type-C, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and A-GPS. A 3,300mAh battery with quick charging support keeps the handset alive.
The LG V30+ is available in the brands home market of South Korea at the equivalent of around Rs 58,900. The phone comes in four hues Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet.
