LG Velvet smartphone has been launched in South Korea as a mid-range handset that supports add-on dual-screen accessories and styluses. The handset has a unique 3D Arc design with slightly curved edges and the triple rear cameras on the back panel are vertically arranged in descending order of size, along with LED flash at the bottom. LG Velvet carries MIL-STD 810G certification for durability and IP68-rating for water-resistance. As mentioned earlier, it has support for Dual Screen accessory and stylus pen for input. Key specifications of the LG Velvet include Snapdragon 765 SoC, a 4,300mAh battery, and Android 10 OS with LG’s custom skin overlaid on top.

LG Velvet price

LG Velvet is priced at WON 899,800 (around Rs 55,800) for the single 8GB + 128GB variant. It comes in Aurora White, Aurora Gray, Aurora Green, and Illusion Sunset colours. The handset will be available in South Korea starting May 15th.

LG Velvet sports a 6.8-inch full HD+ pOLED display with 20:5:9 aspect ratio, 1,080 x 2,460 pixels resolution, LG Dual Screen functionality support and a waterdrop notch to house the selfie camera. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that is further expandable via microSD card. Android 10 OS with LG’s custom UI takes care of the software. Connectivity features include 3.5mm audio jack, 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port.

In terms of optics, the LG Velvet features a triple camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor for portrait shots. There is a 16MP sensor on the front for selfies and video chats. There’s an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and Wacom stylus support with 4096 pressure levels. A 4,300mAh battery with fast wired and wireless charging support fuels the phone. It measures 167.2mm x 74.1mm x 7.9mm and weighs 180 grams.
