LG has been teasing the launch of its first W series smartphones in India from the past few weeks. Today, the South Korean electronics giant has announced that it will be unveiling the W series handsets at an event in India on June 26th. The event will take place in New Delhi and will kick off at 11.30am.
While the brand hasn’t yet confirmed it yet, as many as three LG W series phones could be unveiled at the event. One of them has been will be called the LG W10 as exclusively reported by sharing an image of the phone’s retail box. Names of the other devices are not confirmed yet, but the most high-end model in the series could be dubbed the LG W30. The W30 is expected to arrive with a triple-camera setup at the rear, which has also been frequently teased by the brand.
The LG W10’s specifications were recently revealed via a listing on Android Enterprise’s website. The phone is said to arrive with a 6.2-inch display of unknown resolution, and boot Android 9 Pie out of the box with the brand’s custom UI on top. The phone will have a fingerprint sensor, which will be placed on the back. The device will offer 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage, which is expected to be further expandable via a microSD card. Our hands-on photo of the phone suggested that the handset will have a polycarbonate design with a 3.5mm headphone socket, a charging port, and a speaker at the bottom. The smartphone will also feature dual primary cameras on the back, which will be placed vertically.
According to the reports, the LG W series smartphones will be priced in the country under Rs 15,000.
