“LG is expected to unveil the first Android Wear 2.0-powered smartwatches”
Last month, Google confirmed that it would be launching two Android Wear 2.0-powered smartwatches in the first quarter of this year. Now just a couple of weeks ahead of the unveiling, the first Android Wear 2.0-based smartwatches have hit the interwebs.

According to a report by notable tipster Evan Blass, Google has formed a Nexus-like partnership with LG to bring two new smartwatches this year, which will be dubbed the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style. The two brands will unveil these smartwatches on February 9th, when the new Android Wear 2.0 platform will be launched. The new smartwatches will first go on sale in the US on February 10th.
As for the LG Watch Sport and Watch Style’s specs, they are rumoured to arrive with circular, plastic OLED displays. The former will feature a 1.38-inch display, while the latter will get a 1.2-inch screen. The Watch Sport will offer 768MB of RAM, a 430mAh battery, LTE connectivity, GPS, NFC and Android Pay support. The Watch Style will feature 512MB of RAM, a 240mAh battery, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.If the reports are to be believed, the LG Watch Sport and Watch Style will also feature Google Assistant integration and water- and dust-resistance. The Sport variant is also expected to get a heart-rate sensor. We will have more details on these devices in just a matter of days, so watch this space.
