- It is worth mentioning that Lumio first announced that it would launch a range of smart TVs in India last month.
- At the time, the company had confirmed that these smart TVs would arrive sometime in March 2025.
- Lumio had also confirmed that its upcoming smart TVs would run Google’s Google TV interface for smart TVs, which in turn would provide access to over four-lakh movies and over 10,000 apps.
- In addition to this, the Bengaluru-based startup had announced that its smart TVs will be manufactured by Dixon Technologies and be available for purchase online on Amazon India.
- Interestingly enough, Dixon Technologies is also one of the contract manufacturers for Apple devices in India and it has 17 manufacturing plants across the country including one on the outskirts of Bengaluru.
For the unversed, the brand Lumio is owned by the Indian electronics startup called Circuit House Technologies. It was started by Raghu Reddy, who is the former Chief Business Officer for Xiaomi India, and Kailash Sankaranarayanan, who served as a Senior Director at Flipkart. Reddy serves as the CEO of the Circuit House Technologies, which raised $4.3 million last year.
