LYF Water 10 with 5-inch HD display, octa-core SoC and 3GB RAM launched for Rs 8,699

Reliance Retail has quietly launched a new VoLTE-enabled smartphone called the Water 10. It is the 8th smartphone in the LYF Water series, which are available between Rs 7,599 to Rs 14,699. The Water 10 boots Android 5.1 Lollipop, and comes with gesture controls and anti-theft features. The device also gets a leather-like finish on the rear.

Coming to the other specs, the LYF Water 10 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with Dongxu Glass protection. The phone utilises a 1.3GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek processor, clubbed with 3-gigs of RAM and a Mali T720 GPU. Storage capacity on board is 16-gigs, which users can further expand up to 64-gigs by inserting a microSD card.

The camera department on the LYF Water 10 includes a 13-megapixel autofocus primary snapper with a dual-tone LED flash and full HD video recording support. Selfies are captured by a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. Connectivity features include 4G with VoLTE support, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The device is fuelled by a 2,300mAh battery.The LYF Water 10 has been priced at Rs 8,699, and will be available across channels in a single black hue. The phone comes with the Jio Preview Offer, which gives you unlimited internet, calling and SMS for 90 days for free. Reliance Jio is expected to offer one year of free 4G internet with LYF smartphones in the coming days.
