According to reports, Chetan Kumar, a businessman from Bihar, ordered a DJI drone from Meesho, but instead got a box loaded with potatoes. The affected user also took a video which shows the delivery agent opening the box, to find potatoes in it instead of the drone that he had ordered.

The video, posted on a Twitter handle named ‘UnSeen India,’ shows that Kumar found the package “suspicious” the moment it arrived, and hence asked the delivery executive to unbox the package, which had potatoes inside.

The delivery executive, who is surrounded by locals, also admits that Meesho was involved in the “fraud”. There is no police complaint yet on the incident.

This comes at a time when Flipkart is already facing flak over failed iPhone 13 orders during the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale. More recently, an IIM student reported that he received bars of soap instead of a laptop that he had ordered.

Flipkart is also under fire from users who ordered the iPhone 13 during the Flipkart Big Billion Days but got their orders cancelled after a couple of days. After a slew of complaints from users, Flipkart said in a statement that several users in certain regions had their orders cancelled due to some “anomalies.”
